Nobel Prize 2022: Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser, and Anton Zeilinger will share the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2022 for their contributions to quantum information science, experiments using entangled photons, and proving Bell inequalities are violated. They performed ground-breaking research employing entangled quantum states, in which even when two particles are separated, they act as if they are one.
