Heartbreak in the Wild! Tigress Separated from Cubs, Forest Officials Launch Massive Search

Andhra Pradesh: Forest rangers in Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyal-Kurnool region have been searching for a tigress for the past 72 hours in order to return her four cubs to her. Villagers discovered the cubs when they ventured into an agricultural area. To keep them safe from stray dogs, they first moved them to a temporary shelter.

They were sent to a veterinary hospital after the forest department was notified. The tigress’s sorrow from losing her cubs is causing the villagers to fear that she may become hostile. A 300-person search team is looking for the tigress, and the forest department has set up trap cameras. They believe they have discovered pug prints and are working quickly to find the huge cat. The tigress might be T-108, according to forest rangers. The last resort, in the words of forest department authorities, is to move the cubs to a zoo. In the hopes that their mother will welcome them and return them to the forest, they wish to reunite the children with their mother.

Cubs Could Be Sent to Zoo If Tigress Not Found

“Should we raise them for a while before bringing them to the zoo or do we keep them in an enclosure that is already in place? The National Tiger Conservation Authority must grant a number of licences for that (NTCA). According to the protocol, a committee must be formed and presided over by the chief wildlife warden’s nomination “Shanti Priya Pandey, a forest official, said.

The officer explained that they are taking precautions to prevent leaving human imprints on the cubs because doing so could remove the wild imprint and cause the tigress to reject them. According to forest authorities, they strictly adhere to the NTCA’s policy for caring for orphaned or abandoned cubs. The forest officer asserts that if the cubs return to the wild, their chances of surviving are increased.
