Seeing the increasing demand for plastic products around the world, Uttar Pradesh is moving fast towards fulfilling it. The Yogi government has set a target to develop plastic processing park in the state. Among these, a plastic processing park is to be built in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority area (YIDA). For this, the board of Yeida has approved the proposal and now the planning department is working on the outline of the park.
From there, after approval, work on the project will start and the process of setting up industries will be expedited. It is worth mentioning that the Yogi government has a plan to set up a plastic park on the lines of Medical Device Park, Toy Park, Textile Park, Leather Park and Electronic Park in the state. Units for processing, manufacturing and other related techniques of plastic products will be set up in the plastic park, which will meet the plastic needs of not only Uttar Pradesh, but also the country and the world. Due to this, employment will also be created on a large scale.
Hundreds of units will be set up in the park
According to the information received, the park in Yida would be spread over an area of 100 acres. Hundreds of plastic units will be set up in this. According to a YIDA official, the All India Plastic Industry Association had earlier submitted a proposal in this regard. The State Government has given its consent in principle to develop Plastic Processing Park in Sector 10 of Yida. This proposal has also been passed from the board of Yida and sent for planning. After making its outline through planning, detailed action plan will be worked out on it.
Big investment proposals have been received.
According to the official, more than 20 investors have proposed to invest in the plastic processing park to be set up in Yeida area. Investors want to manufacture medical and agricultural equipment, PVC pipes, packaging and plastic furniture here. The authority has sought detailed project reports from these investors. Soon, many giants of the plastic industry will set up their plants in this park. This will provide employment opportunities to the local youth on a large scale.
There is a lot of potential for plastic growth in UP.
According to Deepak Balani of the Plastic Industry Association, the plastic park is part of a scheme of the Ministry of Petrochemical, Government of India. Under this, the state government is providing land for the park. On this land, the UP government will provide necessary facilities for infrastructure and industries, including the Common Facility Center, where plastic units will be established. According to him, according to the data of the Government of India, more than 10,000 plastic companies are registered in UP. The per capita plastic consumption in India is about 15 kg, while the per capita plastic consumption of the whole world is about 36 kg. In that sense, we are not even 50 percent of that.
