In the viral clip, Aniruddhacharya compared the past and present behaviour of women. He said that girls used to marry early, around 14, and easily adjusted to their new families. But now, he claimed, many women at 25 have been involved in several relationships before marriage. He also criticised today’s society, which he called “Kalyug,” saying some want to be seen as ideal women or “Sati-Savitri” while acting immodestly. Many viewers saw these comments as disrespectful and sexist.
The remarks did not go unnoticed. Women lawyers in Mathura protested and demanded that an FIR be filed against him. Critics questioned why religious leaders have not spoken out against such statements. This controversy quickly spread on social media, sparking heated debates across various platforms.
Aniruddhacharya Viral Video: Emotional Mother Defends His Son
A media reporter visited Aniruddhacharya’s home to get a family response. His mother was n tears and asked, “Humare Lalla ji ki kya galti hai…humko batao” (“What mistake has our son made? Tell us”).
She shared how Aniruddhacharya cared for her during the tough COVID-19 times when she was very ill. She hugged him and said, “I could not even get up. My Lalla got me treated. I would have died.”

Aniruddhacharya’s Response To Allegations
Aniruddhacharya has claimed his words were taken out of context and edited. He said he was asking both men and women to behave well. The spiritual narrator accused some of trying to defame Sanatan Dharma through his comments.
He also questioned why live-in relationships are celebrated today and said, He said, “In Sanatan Dharma, daughters were never suppressed. All social evils entered India during the Mughal era.”
When asked about political criticism, including from Akhilesh Yadav, Aniruddhacharya said, “It’s not my words being opposed; it’s the saints.”
He invited critics to attend spiritual gatherings by Changur Baba and said respected saints like Rambhadracharya and Premanand Maharaj support him.
The controversy grew further when a video showed Aniruddhacharya’s father being mistreated in the ashram. However, the family claimed this video was old and edited.
