Mahavatar Narsimha nears Rs 200 crore with strong box office showing, while Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom faces a sharp decline. This marks Vijay’s sixth flop in a row, adding pressure on his future projects.

The animated film Mahavatar Narsimha, directed by Ashwin Kumar, is breaking new ground for Indian animation. Released on July 25, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, the movie has won over audiences with its strong story and quality animation. It shows that animated films can do well in India both critically and commercially.

Kingdom Box Office Collection Day 13

Vijay Deverakonda’s new spy thriller Kingdom is struggling at the box office. After a decent start, the film’s earnings have dropped sharply in its second week. On day 13, Kingdom earned only Rs 28 lakh, down from Rs 33 lakh the day before. Trade expert Sacnilk shared the daily collections, showing a steady fall from Rs 1.2 crore on day 8 to Rs 28 lakh on day 13. The movie has now made about Rs 51.29 crore across all languages.

The film’s attendance in Telugu theatres is low too. On August 12, 2025, overall occupancy was just 12.46%. Morning shows had 12.44% viewers, afternoon shows slightly better at 13.57%, but evening and night shows fell to 12.71% and 11.10%. Many in the industry have already called Kingdom a disaster. Vijay Deverakonda’s Box Office Struggles Continue

Vijay Deverakonda has faced tough times at the box office recently. His troubles started with Dear Comrade (2019), a romantic drama that didn’t connect with audiences. Then came World Famous Lover (2020), which also got poor reviews and low collections.

The pattern continued with Liger (2022), a pan-Indian action film criticised for its confusing story and weak acting. Kushi (2023) too failed to impress, despite a popular cast and music. Before Kingdom, his film Family Star (2024) also received negative reviews.
