Chandigarh, August 15 – In his Independence Day speech, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was happy to show off the state’s progress in health and education. He talked about how big projects like Schools of Eminence and Aam Aadmi Clinics have changed the way public services are provided.
Mann said at the official state event that his government’s main goals have been “quality and accessibility,” which means making sure that every child gets a world-class education and that everyone has free, easy access to health care.
Changes in education through Schools of Eminence
The chief minister said that the Schools of Eminence project had turned more than 100 government schools into high-quality schools with smart classrooms, modern labs, sports facilities, and places to get help with job choices. “We are getting our students ready for life, not just for board exams,” Mann said. “They will be able to compete at national and global levels.”
With their digital teaching aids and advanced lessons, these schools try to promote creative thought, skill-based learning, and critical thinking. Teachers have also been trained to use modern teaching methods, which closes the gap between the standards of public and private schools.
Changes in Health Care with Aam Aadmi Clinics
Regarding health care, Mann praised the Aam Aadmi Clinics for giving away free basic medical care, drugs, and tests to find out what’s wrong. Since they opened in August 2022, these centres have helped millions of people get treatment for common illnesses and preventative care without having to worry about medical bills.
“Gone are the days when poor people had to travel miles or spend a lot of money to get basic care.” “Our clinics bring health care to the villages and mohallas,” the CM said. He said the plan makes sure that hospitals don’t have as many patients and that diagnoses are made quickly, especially for long-term illnesses.
Bhagwant Mann: Pay attention to equity and accessibility
Mann said that both projects have the same goal: to make sure that everyone can get and use basic services. In education, this means giving students in rural areas the same chances as students in cities. In health care, it means making sure that even the most disadvantaged people get good medical care in a respectful way.
A Promise for the Future
At the end of his speech, Mann promised that the government would keep putting a lot of money into these areas. Plans call for adding more districts to Schools of Eminence, improving current schools, and opening more Aam Aadmi Clinics across the state.
“These are not just plans; they are investments in the future of Punjab.” “A society that is healthy and educated is the best foundation for progress,” Mann said, to cheers from the crowd.
By taking these steps, Punjab hopes to show other states how a government based on quality and accessibility can make a real difference in people’s lives.
