Rajinikanth’s Coolie continues to rule the box office on its third day. After two strong days, including the Independence Day holiday, the film earned Rs 38.50 crore net in India on Saturday, according to Sacnilk. The superstar’s pull remains as strong as ever, attracting audiences across India and overseas.
Coolie Box Office Collection Day 3
With three days of collections, Coolie has already crossed the Rs 150 crore mark domestically, reaching a total of Rs 158.25 crore net. Its global earnings have now crossed Rs 250 crore. The film became the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2025 on Friday, overtaking Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly. Industry experts say Coolie could even aim for the Rs 600 crore worldwide milestone. Rajinikanth has previously led two films that achieved this (2.0 and Jailer) while Vijay’s Leo is the only other Tamil film to cross that mark. If the film maintains its pace, it could challenge these records.
The movie features Nagarjuna, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir, along with a surprise cameo by Aamir Khan. The strong cast, action-packed sequences, and Rajinikanth’s star power have clearly resonated with audiences.

Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 has faced stiff competition from Coolie. On Saturday, the film earned Rs 33 crore net in India, falling short of Rajinikanth’s film. Its total domestic net after three days stands at Rs 142.35 crore.
War 2 saw growth on its second day, with the Hindi version enjoying a 50% jump despite mixed reviews. Day 1 collections were Rs 52 crore, followed by Rs 57.35 crore on day 2. Jr NTR’s presence helped the film do well in the Telugu states, where it earned over Rs 35 crore in three days.
The film also stars Kiara Advani and Ashutosh Rana in key roles. While War 2 continues to attract audiences, Coolie has set a higher benchmark this weekend. Compared to Salman Khan’s recent release Sikandar, which earned Rs 110 crore in its lifetime, War 2 has already surpassed that figure in just three days.
