Bollywood actor Faissal Khan, brother of superstar Aamir Khan, has once again stirred controversy with explosive revelations about his family. Speaking at a press conference on August 18, Faissal shared shocking details about his strained relationship with Aamir and his relatives, alleging jealousy, forced marriage pressure, and hidden personal affairs.
Aamir Khan Told Faissal To Quit Acting
Faissal recalled the time of his film Mela and said audiences praised his performance. He shared that people often told him, “tumne zyada achha, tumne behtareen kaam kar diya Mela.” However, he claims that instead of encouragement, Aamir reacted negatively. According to Faissal, Aamir told him, “tumhe acting nahi aati, tumhe acting chhod deni chahiye.”
He suggested that his brother was jealous of the appreciation he received, stating that Aamir’s remarks left a lasting impact on his career and confidence.
Faissal Khan Claims He Was Forced To Marry His Aunt
Faissal also spoke about his troubled personal life. He revealed that after his short-lived marriage in 2002, which ended within months, his family pressured him into marrying his aunt, his mother’s first cousin.
He explained, “My family was pressuring me to marry my aunt, my mother’s first cousin. I never wanted that, but from that time, they started putting pressure on me to get married. I was focused on my work and not interested at all. Because of this, I had many arguments with my family.”
The actor added that the repeated pressure and disputes forced him to distance himself from his family. He also claimed that his refusal angered his mother, further deepening the rift.
Faissal went on to say that he once wrote a letter detailing personal stories about each family member. In it, he alleged that Aamir was having an affair with British journalist Jessica Hines during his marriage to Reena Dutta. He further claimed that Aamir fathered an illegitimate child from that relationship while living with Kiran Rao.
He said, “I wrote all this in the letter, so they became angry with me. Then everyone turned against me and said, ‘Declare him mad.’”
Actor Breaks Ties With Aamir Khan And Family
Just a day before the press conference, Faissal shared an emotional Instagram post announcing that he had officially cut ties with his family. His statement read, “With a heavy heart yet renewed courage, I wish to share that I have severed all family ties, as declared through a public notice. This step, though difficult, is essential for my healing and growth.”
He also repeated earlier allegations that his family drugged him under the guise of medical treatment and kept him under “house arrest” for a year. These claims were presented again during the press meet, this time with the support of his lawyer.

Despite the controversies, Faissal has had a long journey in cinema. He made his debut in Pyar Ka Mausam (1969) as a child artist and later appeared in notable films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Madhosh, Mela, and Border Hindustan Ka. His last on-screen appearance was in the 2022 Kannada crime thriller Oppanda, alongside Arjun Sarja, Radhika Kumaraswamy, and J. D. Chakravarthy.
