Government Job 2025: The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced that online registrations for the post of Junior Associates – Customer Support and Sales (popularly known as SBI Clerk) will close soon. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications on the official website sbi.co.in before August 26, 2025. Aspirants are advised not to wait until the last moment to avoid any technical issues on the portal.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 6,589 Junior Associate vacancies, including both regular and backlog positions, across SBI branches in the country.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be between 20 and 28 years of age as of April 1, 2025. This means candidates should have been born not earlier than April 2, 1997, and not later than April 1, 2005. Relaxations in the upper age limit will apply to reserved category candidates as per government rules.
Educationally, candidates must be graduates from a recognised university or hold an equivalent qualification. Those pursuing an integrated dual degree (IDD) should ensure that their final passing date is on or before December 31, 2025. Final-year students are also eligible to apply, provided they can present proof of graduation by the same date.
Selection Process
The SBI Clerk recruitment process will be conducted in three stages:
- Preliminary Exam: Objective-type questions worth 100 marks, conducted over 1 hour.
- Mains Exam: A longer test with 190 questions for 200 marks, lasting 2 hours and 40 minutes.
- Local Language Test: Candidates must also clear the opted local language proficiency test to secure final selection.
