In total, 26,848 arrests have been made since the campaign began.

Punjab Police: The Punjab Government’s flagship initiative, Mission ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’, has completed 174 days of relentless action against the drug menace, with Punjab Police reporting significant progress through raids, arrests, and awareness campaigns.

According to official updates, Punjab Police carried out raids at 365 locations across the state, targeting suspected drug networks and smugglers. These operations resulted in the arrest of 87 drug traffickers in a single day, further tightening the noose around illegal networks.

Since the launch of the mission, a total of 26,848 drug traffickers have been arrested over the course of 174 days. The scale of this crackdown highlights the government’s firm resolve to eliminate drug abuse from Punjab and safeguard the state’s youth from its devastating consequences.

A Multi-Pronged Approach

Mission Yudh Nashian Virudh is not limited to law enforcement. While police teams continue search operations, raids, and seizures to dismantle supply chains, the campaign also focuses on awareness drives and prevention programs. The objective is to ensure that young people are not only protected from falling prey to drugs but are also inspired to lead a healthy and drug-free life.

Community engagement remains a key aspect of the mission, with awareness camps, outreach sessions, and educational campaigns being organized across villages, towns, and schools. The emphasis is on making drug prevention a collective societal effort, ensuring that families, communities, and institutions come together to strengthen the fight against addiction.

A Call for Public Support

Punjab Police and the state government have urged citizens to join the mission by staying alert, reporting suspicious activities, and encouraging youth to reject drugs. The government has reiterated its commitment to leave no stone unturned in building a drug-free Punjab, with enforcement and awareness going hand in hand.
