The veteran actor recently spoke about his love for old-school Bollywood friendships and even recalled a sweet moment when Shah Rukh Khan called himself “the last superstar.” His co-star Shubhangi Dutt also shared her priceless reaction after SRK and Amitabh Bachchan praised the film’s trailer.

Shubhangi Dutt could not contain her excitement after the special gesture from the two superstars. When Siddharth Kannan asked about her reaction, she said, “Overwhelmed! My brother woke me up at midnight, saying- Shah Rukh Khan shared your trailer! I thought he was joking. Then I saw it and screamed. Next day, Amitabh Bachchan posted it. My friends said, ‘You’ve made it!’ I kept messaging Anupam Sir, thanking him for making this happen.”

In the same interview, Anupam spoke fondly about the good old days of Bollywood. He said, “Humare rishte bane hai. Na humare pass vanity van hoti thi, na mobile, humare pass rishte hote thee (Our relationships were built genuinely. We didn’t have vanity vans or mobile phones. What we had were real bonds).”
He also shared a memorable moment from his talk show: “Mere show pe Shah Rukh Khan ne bola tha ‘I am the last superstar,’ and I think what he said was right.”
Anupam praised the long-lasting stardom of Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Shah Rukh Khan. “Their stardom is timeless. Mr. Bachchan, especially, is a shining example of someone who faced tough times and rose again, like a true giant.”
