Passengers Seen Cheering and Filming the View
Inside the gleaming new Vande Bharat coaches, passengers stood by windows and doorways, recording the scenic stretch with their phones. Children clapped and adults gasped in awe as the train glided across the steel marvel perched above a deep gorge. Many called it “the most thrilling moment of the journey.”
An Engineering Marvel in the Heart of J&K
The Anji Khad Bridge, connecting Reasi and Katra districts, is a key link in the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project. Its inauguration signals a major step toward full rail connectivity to the Kashmir Valley.
A Historic Ride Through the Hills
This Vande Bharat service is the first semi-high-speed train to operate in Jammu and Kashmir. With panoramic windows, plush interiors, and minimal vibration despite steep gradients, passengers praised both the engineering and comfort.
“I’ve never felt more proud and thrilled on a train journey,” said Neha, a teacher from Jammu traveling with her family. “This is history being made in front of our eyes.”
States and People Rejoice
The train’s debut has sparked celebrations across Jammu and Kashmir, with local residents waving at the train from village rooftops. Officials expect it to boost tourism and bring economic benefits to the region.
