Punjab News: CM Bhagwant Mann Pays Tribute to Kakori Martyrs

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann paid heartfelt tributes to the great revolutionaries of India’s freedom struggle on the occasion of their martyrdom. Through a tweet, Mann remembered the sacrifices of Shaheed Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Shaheed Ashfaqulla Khan, and Shaheed Thakur Roshan Singh, the prominent leaders of the historic Kakori Conspiracy.

In his tweet, the Chief Minister said, “On the occasion of the martyrdom of Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil Ji, Ashfaqulla Khan Ji, and Thakur Roshan Singh Ji, I bow to them with utmost respect. These brave revolutionaries laid down their lives for the freedom of the nation, and their sacrifices will always be remembered.”

Legacy of the Kakori Heroes

The Kakori Conspiracy of 1925 was a significant event in the Indian independence movement. The act, carried out to fund revolutionary activities by looting a British train carrying government treasury, highlighted the courage and patriotism of these young revolutionaries. Though the British administration sentenced them to death for their actions, their sacrifices continue to inspire generations.

Ram Prasad Bismil, known for his fiery poetry and leadership, Ashfaqulla Khan, a symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity, and Thakur Roshan Singh, a fearless patriot, remain icons of India’s fight for freedom.
