Punjab Police: In a significant breakthrough against organized crime, the Counter Intelligence Jalandhar, in a joint operation with SBS Nagar Police, has arrested two accused from Mumbai who were involved in a recent murder case in Punjab’s SBS Nagar district.
Arrests Made in Mumbai
The arrested accused have been identified as Karan Rormajara and Jaskarandeep Kalu. According to officials, both were operating in connivance with USA-based gangster Jaskaran Kannu, and the trio is accused of plotting and executing the murder of a man in Pojewal, SBS Nagar. The killing reportedly stemmed from a recent personal enmity.
The accused are known associates of Lucky Patial, a key member of the Devinder Bambiha gang, which is active in Punjab and other states.
FIR Registered Under BNS and Arms Act
Police confirmed that an FIR has been registered at Police Station Pojewal, Nawanshahr under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act. Officials said that further investigations are ongoing to uncover the wider network and trace other individuals linked to the conspiracy.

The Punjab Police has intensified its efforts to curb organized crime and gang-related violence across the state. The arrest of these two individuals marks another step forward in dismantling networks associated with notorious gangs like the Bambiha gang, which has been linked to multiple incidents of violence, extortion, and cross-border criminal activities.
Officials from Punjab Police Headquarters reiterated their commitment to public safety, stating that operations will continue to neutralize gang activities with strong coordination between intelligence and district police units.
