Punjab Police: In a significant breakthrough in the fight against organised crime, Barnala Police has arrested four active associates of the Devinder Bambiha Gang. The arrests took place during a naka operation when the accused were allegedly plotting a major robbery.

According to details shared by Punjab DGP, the arrested men have been identified as Satnam Singh alias Satti, Gurpreet alias Guri, Sarm Singh alias Rinku, and Deepak Singh. When confronted, the accused reportedly opened fire on the police party. However, the police team acted swiftly, overpowered the assailants, and apprehended them along with their vehicle.
During the operation, police recovered four weapons, including one Zigana pistol, three pistols (.30 and .32 bore), and multiple live cartridges.
The investigation has revealed that Satnam Singh is a habitual offender with over 22 previous criminal cases, including charges of murder, attempt to murder, Arms Act violations, and NDPS Act cases. Similarly, Sarm Singh and Deepak Singh are suspected to have deep links with the narcotics trade, while Gurpreet too has a criminal background.
