Saurabh Bharadwaj: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly criticized the Enforcement Directorate (ED) following raids against senior party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj. AAP’s National Media In-charge, Anurag Dhanda, alleged that the raids were politically motivated and aimed at diverting public attention from the controversy surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s educational degree.
Speaking to the media, Dhanda questioned the timing and credibility of the ED’s actions. “Why is this fake raid being done by ED on Saurabh Bharadwaj? Since yesterday, the entire nation has been discussing that PM Modi’s degree is fake. To divert attention from that, such raids are being conducted. Yesterday, Amit Shah raised an issue, and the debate continued all day. Today, this raid is being done in a case when he was not even a minister,” he said.
Questioning the Basis of the Case
Dhanda further argued that there is no legal or logical ground for Bharadwaj’s name to be linked with the case. “When he was not a minister, how could his name come up in the scam? How can he be accused of corruption because of it?” he asked. Drawing parallels with former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, Dhanda said Jain was also trapped in a “fake case” that lingered for years. “The case was run for three years, and finally, CBI itself told the court they had no evidence,” he added.
AAP’s Strong Objection
The AAP has consistently alleged that central investigative agencies are being misused to target opposition leaders. The party maintains that such raids are a deliberate attempt to malign its leaders and derail the public discourse from key national issues.
Dhanda emphasized that AAP leaders will continue to face such politically driven actions with transparency and courage, asserting that truth will prevail in the end.
