Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has extended his heartfelt greetings to devotees on the sacred occasion of the marriage anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru, and Mata Sulakhni Ji. The celebrations, commonly known as “Jod Mela”, were held at the historic Gurdwara Sri Kandh Sahib in Batala, where thousands of devotees paid obeisance.

Bhagwant Mann emphasized that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life and teachings are a timeless source of inspiration for building a just, inclusive, and compassionate society. He extended his best wishes to the Sangat, praying for peace, prosperity, and well-being of all.
The Punjab Government has also ensured special arrangements for devotees visiting Batala, including security, transport, and basic facilities, to allow for smooth conduct of the mela. The event reflects Punjab’s rich spiritual and cultural legacy, drawing lakhs of pilgrims every year.
