Indian Railways has launched a new Vande Bharat Express between Sabarmati and Gurgaon, strengthening rail connectivity between the two cities. This semi-high-speed train will initially operate as a one-way special service and is maintained by the Western Railway (WR) zone.
“For the convenience of passengers and to meet travel demand, WR will run a one-way Vande Bharat Superfast Special Train between Sabarmati and Gurgaon,” the Western Railway said.
Route, Train Number, and Travel Time
The Sabarmati-Gurgaon Vande Bharat Special will run as train number 09401, starting its commercial journey on Sunday, October 5. The train is scheduled to operate on October 5 and 6 initially.
During the journey, the train will stop at eight stations: Mahesana Junction, Palanpur, Abu Road, Marwar Junction, Ajmer, Jaipur, Alwar, and Rewari. It will depart Sabarmati at 17:30 hrs and arrive in Gurgaon at 08:25 hrs the following morning.
Ticket Prices and Classes
The train offers two seating options: AC Chair Car and Executive AC Chair Car. The ticket price for AC Chair Car is Rs 2,250, while Executive AC Chair Car costs Rs 4,145.
