The sequel to Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s hit romantic comedy De De Pyaar De has got a release date. The makers surprised fans by dropping the first motion poster, promising more fun, drama and family chaos.

On Saturday, Ajay Devgn shared the motion poster on Instagram. It shows Rakul’s family throwing Ajay out of a car, leading to another crazy love story. Sharing it, Ajay wrote, “Pyaar ka sequel hai crucial! Kya Ashish ko milega Ayesha ke parents ka approval? #PyaarVsParivaar #DeDePyaarDe2 in cinemas 14th November 2025.”
As soon as the post dropped, fans filled the comment section with excitement. One user wrote, “Is baar comedy banana pehli vaali boring thi.” Another noticed R Madhavan and said, “Shaitaan aagaya pyaar lene.”

The film features Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, R Madhavan, Meezaan Jafri, Gautami Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Jaaved Jaaferi. It is directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film will hit theatres on November 14, 2025.
The first De De Pyaar De (2019) was directed by Akiv Ali. It starred Ajay, Tabu, and Rakul in lead roles. The story followed a 50-year-old man who falls in love with a much younger woman, leading to family drama and hilarious situations. In the sequel, Ashish will now face a new challenge of winning Ayesha’s parents’ approval.

De De Pyaar De follows the story of Ashish Mehra, a 50-year-old NRI investor living in London, who falls in love with Aisha, a 26-year-old free-spirited woman. Their relationship blossoms despite the age gap, but things take a turn when Ashish decides to introduce Aisha to his family in India.
Once in India, Ashish’s past comes back to haunt him. His ex-wife Manju is still very much a part of his family circle. During a moment of weakness, Ashish and Manju end up sleeping together, which creates emotional chaos. When Aisha finds out, she feels betrayed and returns to London, leaving Ashish heartbroken.
Later, Manju realises that Ashish and Aisha truly love each other. She travels to London to convince Aisha to give Ashish another chance. The film ends with a light-hearted post-credits scene where Ashish and Aisha argue about whether to meet Aisha’s parents, keeping the humour alive till the end.
The movie runs for around 145 minutes, though some versions have a slightly shorter runtime of about 135 minutes.
De De Pyaar De was a box office success. It earned around Rs 143.04 crore worldwide. In India, it collected Rs 123.38 crore gross and Rs 103.64 crore net, while its overseas earnings stood at about Rs 19.66 crore. The film made Rs 10.41 crore on its opening day, including paid previews, and went on to earn Rs 61.05 crore in its first week.
It will be interesting to see if De De Pyaar De 2 achieves same level of success.
