Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi said that the Ujjwala Yojana, launched under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has brought a major transformation in the lives of women, particularly in rural households. “The scheme has not only freed women from the health hazards of traditional cooking methods but also given them a life of dignity and convenience,” he said.
He added that the refill subsidy distribution will further ease the financial burden on beneficiaries and encourage consistent use of LPG in households. “With this initiative, we are ensuring that no woman has to struggle for clean fuel. The government is committed to women’s empowerment and welfare,” the Chief Minister noted.
CM Yogi also praised the efforts of local administrations
CM Yogi also praised the efforts of local administrations and oil companies in successfully implementing the scheme across Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized that the welfare of the poor and marginalized remains a top priority for both the Central and State governments.
The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, launched in 2016, provides free LPG connections to women from below-poverty-line (BPL) families. The ongoing refill subsidy initiative aims to make LPG usage sustainable by offering financial support for refilling cylinders regularly.
The program concluded with the symbolic distribution of subsidy benefits to several beneficiaries, who expressed gratitude for the government’s continued support in improving their quality of life.
