CM Bhagwant Mann Pays Tribute to Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, the Revered Mother of the Khalsa Panth

CM Bhagwant Mann honours Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, the Mother of the Khalsa Panth, remembering her spiritual strength and timeless role in Sikh history.

Bhagwant Mann: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann praised Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, the Mother of the Khalsa Panth, on her birth anniversary. Mata Sahib Kaur Ji is designated as being synonymous with spiritual strength, courageousness, and maternal elegance, and there will always be Khalsa men and women who are influenced by her life.

At a special program in Anandpur Sahib, CM Mann said that Mata Sahib Kaur Ji’s contribution to the Sikh faith is beyond history — it is living, visceral, and persisting expressions of unwavering devotion and moral strength.

Mata Sahib Kaur Ji will be remembered as spiritually mothering all Khalsa — she is regarded as being part of the rich tapestry of Sikh history. Side by side with Guru Gobind Singh Ji, she endowed Khalsa with the spiritual and emotional fortitude and synecdoche, all of which were rendered during the formation of the Khalsa Panth in 1699.

Mata Sahib Kaur Ji’s teachings about equality, humility, and service continue strong in the ethos of the Sikh community today. CM Mann stated that the lessons and examples of her life remain illuminating.

Mann’s Message to the Youth

Speaking to the audience, the Chief Minister encouraged the younger audience to look to the life and teachings of Mata Sahib Kaur Ji. He described her life as a reminder that true strength is not about power, but instead compassion and righteousness. He further added that with such extraordinary people in the past, Punjab’s cultural and spiritual identity constantly draws strength from the sacrifices and wisdom of these figures, who will always shape societies today.

State Marks Day of Respect

The day was recognised across Punjab in any available space in gurdwaras and Sikh institutions with prayer, kirtan, and community service. Devotees paid their respects by reaffirming their own commitment toward the eternal values of the Khalsa, which are to respect, justice, and selfless service. CM Mann also reiterated that his government is committed towards respecting Punjab’s spiritual heritage and that the legacy of Sikh icons such as Mata Sahib Kaur Ji will continue to inspire future generations.
