Amit Shah Tears Into Rahul Gandhi & Co On SIR and Vote Chori After Bihar Election Result, Says ‘Modi Govt’s Policy Against Infiltrators Will Continue’

Amit Shah hits back at Rahul Gandhi and the Opposition after Bihar results, rejecting ‘vote chori’ claims and asserting Modi govt’s tough stance on infiltrators.

In an aggressive political response after the results of the Bihar elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the Opposition parties for their statements on the SIR (Social Inclusion Report) and accusations of “vote chori.” Shah accused the Opposition of propagating distorted narratives and of trying to instigate disruption following their political loss.

Shah Dismisses “Vote Chori” Arguments and Deemed Opposition Narrative as Groundless

Speaking at a public event, Shah articulated that the Bihar mandate was an explicit reaffirmation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India’s model of governance. He completely dismissed the Opposition’s view of vote rigging and claimed it had become their “typical excuse” for losing.

“The paramount decision belongs to the people of Bihar. What is defined as democracy when the opposition wins, we hear, ‘vote chori’ when they lose. This scenario doesn’t fit anymore,” Shah stated while adding that the NDA performed best in the seats where Modi and the BJP top leaders campaigned, thus reinforcing the message that their grassroots connection is still anchored.

On SIR Controversy: ‘Opposition Trying to Divide Society’

In response to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks regarding SIR and supposed alterations of socio-economic statistics, Shah condemned the Congress party for misleading the public. He stated the opposition was trying to create a phoney story in an effort to regain its lost political foothold.

“Rahul Gandhi and his ilk are working to divide the communities using SIR for their vote-bank politics. The Modi government is working for each section of society, with no discrimination towards any community. Their lies and misinformation will not last long,” Shah stated.

Modi Government’s Position Against Infiltrators ‘Unyielding’: Shah

In reiteration of the government’s position on national security, Shah claimed the Modi government will further escalate its crackdown against infiltrators. Shah also asserted that opposition party members have long exploited infiltrators for electoral gain at the expense of national security.

“Our policies toward infiltrators will continue to be grounded in strength. Nobody who poses a threat to India’s security will be spared,” he said. Shah emphasised that the NDA government has embarked on effective border management, law enforcement, and tracking of illegal immigrants.

Bihar Mandate a ‘Lesson’ for the Opposition, Says Shah

Shah stated he wanted the opposition to “think about themselves instead of whining,” adding that voters allowing the opposition to suffer a string of electoral defeats demonstrated the voters were rejecting their leadership and narrative. He continued by stating the NDA’s victory is a mandate for development, governance, and stability.
