About This Dhanush-Kriti Sanon Starrer
Tere Ishk Mein stars Dhanush and Kriti Sanon opposite each other for the first time. The story follows Shankar (Dhanush), a passionate and obsessive lover, whose devotion to Mukti (Kriti Sanon) drives him to extremes. When Mukti rejects him and marries someone else, Shankar’s heart breaks, and they part ways. Over time, Mukti realises her mistake and understands the depth of his love. The plot turns dramatic when Shankar, now an Indian Air Force pilot, reunites with Mukti, who has fallen into a destructive lifestyle due to alcoholism. The story explores love, obsession, self-destruction, sacrifice and patriotism, ending with Shankar fighting for his country.
The film runs for roughly 2 to 2.5 hours. Reviews praise the first half for being engaging, though some viewers found the second half a bit long.
Dhanush’s performance has been widely appreciated for his transformation from a passionate lover to a disciplined soldier. Kriti Sanon also impressed, even if her character is seen as controversial by some. The music by AR Rahman, the emotional depth, and the climactic sequences have struck a chord with audiences. Many called the film “paisa vasool.” The screenplay and storytelling kept viewers hooked, especially those who enjoy intense romantic dramas.
Tere Ishk Mein is expected to be one of 2025’s first major box office successes, with strong word-of-mouth and consistent collections likely to push it past Rs 100 crore soon.
