Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a detailed public message addressing the state’s ongoing crackdown on illegal Rohingya and Bangladeshi immigrants. Calling it a matter of top priority, the Chief Minister said that ensuring security, social balance, and a robust law-and-order system remains the foundation of his government’s governance model.
In his message titled “Yogi Ki Paati”, the Chief Minister cited a recent observation by the Supreme Court, which stated that “a red carpet cannot be rolled out for infiltrators.” Yogi Adityanath said the remark makes it clear that infiltrators cannot be accepted under any circumstances, as public resources are meant for Indian citizens, not for illegal entrants.
CM Yogi Adityanath: Crackdown Intensifies Across Urban Bodies
The Chief Minister confirmed that strict and decisive action has begun across the state against illegally residing Rohingya and Bangladeshi nationals. All urban local bodies have been instructed to identify suspicious foreign nationals and prepare detailed lists to facilitate further legal action.
Authorities are also conducting document verification drives in various districts. Individuals found living without valid documents are being marked and shifted to detention centres, which are now being established in every administrative division of the state.
“Public Resources Cannot Be Overburdened”
Yogi Adityanath stressed that unauthorised pressure on public infrastructure and welfare schemes must be removed. He stated that benefits meant for the underprivileged cannot be allowed to get diverted or diluted due to illegal infiltrators.
The CM said that the ongoing verification and detention process aims to protect state resources and ensure that only legitimate beneficiaries receive support under government schemes.
Appeal to the Public to Remain Alert
In his message, the Chief Minister appealed to the people of Uttar Pradesh to stay vigilant and verify the identity of any individual before employing them in domestic or commercial settings.
He reiterated that state security is a collective responsibility, and safeguarding Uttar Pradesh’s peace and prosperity requires cooperation between the government and citizens.
A Firm Stand on Security
Concluding his message, Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his government’s unwavering commitment to strengthening internal security and maintaining harmony within the state. He said that the crackdown on illegal immigrants is essential to protect the rights of citizens and maintain long-term social stability.
