The actor (best known as Anuj Kapadia from Anupamaa) walked out of the reality show with a trophy on December 7. Since then, the biggest question online is whether he will be returning to the daily soap that made him a household name.
Gaurav left Anupamaa after a major leap, and viewers never got closure for his character. In a post-victory interview with Telly Masala, Gaurav Khanna said he had no idea about the chaos happening outside while he was inside the Bigg Boss house. He said, “Mujhe kuch nahi pata. Mujhe aap hi se pata chal raha hai yeh sab. Main toh andar tha. Mujhe kuch nahi pata. But mujhe pata chala ki Rajan sir ne bhi bahut support kiya.” (I don’t know anything. I’m finding all of this out from you. I was inside the house, so I knew nothing. But I heard that Rajan sir supported me a lot.)
Well, one of the most talked-about moments of the show was Salman Khan praising Gaurav’s calm nature. The superstar even said he wanted to work with him. This offer left Gaurav overwhelmed.
He shared, “Ek sone pe suhaga ho gaya hai bhaiya. Jab aap acche hote ho toh poori kaynaat aapke saath ho jaati hai. Aur mujhe lagta hai Salman sir ne jab offer diya film ka, toh main teary-eyed ho gaya. Meri aankhon mein aansu aa gaye khushi ke. Aur main wait kar raha hoon. In one of his interviews, Gaurav joked that he hopes Rajan Shahi is watching. He added, “Even Salman Sir has offered me a film now, so Rajan Sir, what are you waiting for?”

Reports suggest that Rajan Shahi has promised to work with Gaurav again, but there is no clarity on the format. It could be a return as Anuj Kapadia, or it could be a new project altogether. Gaurav has stayed open and has not ruled anything out.
