Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Kapil Sharma Starrer Sees Minor Growth After Poor Opening, Fails To Reach…

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 opened to weak box office numbers, earning just Rs 4.35 cr in two days. Despite slight growth on Day 2, the Kapil Sharma starrer continues to struggle amid strong competition.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 has opened to a disappointing response at the box office. The Kapil Sharma starrer arrived with some curiosity, thanks to the success of its first part. However, once the film hit cinemas, the numbers failed to match expectations. Despite a slight rise on Day 2, the comedy sequel is struggling to find its footing.

The film had a weak start on its opening day. On Friday, December 12, 2025, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 collected Rs 1.85 cr net in India. Occupancy levels were low across most regions. Morning shows opened at nearly 6 per cent, while evening and night shows remained under 30 per cent. These figures clearly pointed to limited audience interest from the very first day.

There was some improvement on Day 2, but not enough to change the overall trend. On Saturday, December 13, the film earned around Rs 2.50 cr net, according to early estimates. This pushed the two-day total to Rs 4.35 cr. While this shows a minor growth from Day 1, the numbers are still far from encouraging. Key markets such as Mumbai, NCR and Pune recorded slightly better footfall, but the jump was modest.

Even after two days, the film has failed to touch the Rs 5 cr mark. For a sequel to a popular comedy, this is a worrying sign. Trade analysts believe the slow start has already limited the film’s potential.

The gap between the sequel and the original Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon is hard to ignore. The 2015 film had opened strongly, collecting around Rs 10.2 cr on Day 1. It added nearly Rs 8.6 cr on Day 2, taking its two-day total close to Rs 18.8 cr. In comparison, the sequel’s total after two days does not even match what the first film earned in a single day.

This sharp drop highlights changing audience behaviour and tougher box-office conditions. It also reflects the lack of strong buzz around the sequel.

What Went Wrong?

Several factors have worked against Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. One major issue is weak promotions. The film did not generate enough excitement before release, which resulted in low advance bookings. Without a strong opening day, it struggled to build momentum.

Competition has also hurt its performance. Big releases like Dhurandhar continue to dominate screens and audience attention. With limited show timings and heavy competition, Kapil Sharma’s comedy has found it difficult to draw crowds.

In addition, audience taste has shifted. Comedy films now depend heavily on strong word of mouth. With mixed early reactions, the sequel has not managed to create that pull factor.

Looking ahead, the film needs a solid jump on Sunday to stabilise its run. However, trade experts remain cautious. With major releases like Avatar: Fire and Ash lined up, the pressure is only going to increase. Unless word of mouth improves quickly, collections may remain flat.
