About Agastya Nanda’s Ikkis
Agastya Nanda will next be seen in Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film is a biographical war drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. He was the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. The story is set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war and focuses on the Battle of Basantar.
The film traces Khetarpal’s journey from a young cadet to a brave tank commander. He lost his life at the age of 21 after destroying ten enemy tanks. The title Ikkis refers to his age at the time of his sacrifice.
The film marks Agastya’s big-screen debut after The Archies. It also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Dharmendra. Notably, this is Dharmendra’s final on-screen appearance. Produced by Maddock Films, Ikkis was earlier set to release on December 25 but is now expected to arrive in theatres on January 1.
Meanwhile, Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 airs Monday to Friday at 9 pm on Sony TV.
