Indian Railways: Indian Railways has announced a new special reserved train between New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) from December 27, 2025 to January 1, 2026.
What’s the Indian Railways Train Number And Timings?
The special train’s number is 04081/04082.
The train number 04081 will depart from NDLS at 11:45 pm and each SVDK at 12:00 pm the next day. It will stop at Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu and Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur) railway stations.
The train number 04082 will depart from SVDK at 9:20 pm and reach NDLS at 10:00 am the next day. It will stop at Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur), Jammu, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt, Kurukshetra and Panipat railway stations.
How Will The Special Reserved Train Benefit The Common Man?
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal said the reserved special train has been launched so that the growing count of tourists in the state of Jammu and Kashmir can be effectively catered by the Indian Railways. Singhal added that it will satisfy the travel requirements of local residents as well during the holiday season so they can easily meet families and friends. It was also remarked that the NDLS-SVDK special reserved train will operate with 16 coaches. Passengers can visit the IRCTC website, the Indian Railways or other apps, or authorized agents.
