Stand-up comedian Zakir Khan surprised his fans by announcing a long break from live shows. The announcement came during his recent performance in Hyderabad. He revealed that he plans to step away from touring for several years. According to his team, Zakir has decided to take an extended break from live performances, reportedly until 2030, due to health issues and personal reasons.

The news has left many fans emotional. At the same time, there is excitement around his current tour. Before going on this long break, Zakir is still performing across India and overseas. His ongoing Papa Yaar tour is a special farewell phase for audiences who want to watch him live one last time.

Zakir Khan Papa Yaar Tour Schedule Before Break

Zakir Khan’s Papa Yaar tour is currently travelling through several Indian cities. He is set to perform in Bengaluru on January 23 and January 24. After that, he will perform in Chennai on January 27. The tour then moves to Nashik on February 3. Ahmedabad will host him on February 6 and February 7. His next Indian stop is Surat on February 8.

Once the India leg ends, Zakir will take the tour overseas. He is scheduled to perform in Dublin, Ireland on April 26. After this, the tour will move to the United States, where he will perform in April and May.

In the US, Zakir Khan will perform in Houston on April 19. He will then head to San Jose on May 2, followed by Seattle on May 9. Austin is scheduled for May 10. Los Angeles will host him on May 16. He will then perform in Boston on May 22 and Washington DC on May 23.

Although shows are officially planned till May 23, Zakir has said that the tour may continue a little longer. He has mentioned June 20 as his final show date before the long-term break. Therefore, more shows are expected to be added between the end of May and June 20.

Urging fans to attend his remaining shows, Zakir shared an emotional note on Instagram. He wrote, “Every show is a celebration till June 20. Main bahut shehar nahi aa paunga, iss baar aap thoda takalluf utha kar aa jaiye.”

Zakir Khan is one of the most popular stand-up comedians in India today. He rose to fame in 2012 after winning Comedy Central’s India’s Best Stand-Up competition. Since then, he has built a massive fan base with hit specials like Haq Se Single and Kaksha Gyarvi. His honest storytelling style and ‘sakht launda’ image connected strongly with audiences.

Last year, Zakir created history by becoming the first Indian comedian to perform a Hindi-language stand-up show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Calling it a BIG day, he shared how emotional it felt to perform Hindi comedy for nearly 6,000 people. He also thanked his team and close friends for their support. Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna and actor Kal Penn were among those present at the show.
