The Republic Day Parade would witness the ‘Phased Battle Array’, S-400 defence system that broke hell on Pakistan, two majestic double-humped Bactrian camels, Bhairav Battalion, Suryastra system and women leaders CRPF Commander Simran Bala and Lieutenant Mehak Bhati leading the way.
Republic Day 2026 Parade-Debut For Phased Battle Array
The 77th Republic Day of India would mark debut of the Phased Battle Array that would integrate with the indigenous Suryastra system, which is a game-changing rocket artillery platform designed for precision strikes.
Developed by the eminent Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Suryastra boasts of state-of-the-art, advanced phased array radar for real-time targeting. It would be capable of delivering devastating salvos over 10 kilometres.
Republic Day spectators would witness High Mobility Reconnaissance Vehicles (HMRV), advanced battlefield surveillance radars, Dhruv helicopters, Arjun Main Battle Tank, T-90 Bhishma tanks, Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System, the ‘Shaktiban’ artillery regiment and more.

Lieutenant Mehak Bhati, the poised commander of the elite Suryastra rocket contingent, would be leading the all-women unit with unyielding resolve. S-400 Glory
S-400, the Russian-origin mobile surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, which has integrated into the arsenal of India, would be showcased during the Republic Day 2026 parade. The SAM system made headlines by “breaking hell on Pakistan” during Operation Sindoor. Its long-range missiles can neutralize enemy aircrafts and drones with surgical precision, safeguarding Indian skies.
Rare Camels March: Majestic Bactrian Beasts
The Republic Day 2026 Parade would witness a rare camels’ march with two double-humped Bactrian camels. Sourced from Ladakh’s rugged terrains, these resilient giants symbolize the Border Security Force’s (BSF) unyielding vigilance along icy frontiers.
Bhairav Battalion: The Fierce Guardians of the Nation
A newly raised Special Forces unit named after the fiercest form of Lord Shiva, the Bhairav Battalion is trained for high-altitude warfare and counter-terror ops. The debut of the battalion would underscore the evolving threat landscape of the country, from proxy wars to cyber incursions.
Frontline Women Warriors: Simran Bala and Mehak Bhati
In a historic nod to Nari Shakti, CRPF Commander Simran Bala from Jammu & Kashmir spearheads an all-male contingent. Complementing her is Lieutenant Mehak Bhati, at the helm of the Suryastra contingent.
