Republic Day 2026: CM Yogi Adityanath Congratulates Shubhanshu Shukla After President Droupadi Murmu Confers Ashok Chakra

On the occasion of Republic Day 2026, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, a proud son of Uttar Pradesh, for being honoured with the Ashok Chakra, the country’s highest peacetime gallantry award. The award was conferred by President Droupadi Murmu during the Republic Day समारोह held in New Delhi.

In his message, CM Yogi Adityanath praised Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla for his exceptional courage, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the nation. He said that Shukla’s role in the successful Axiom Mission-4 has elevated India’s prestige on the global stage and made the nation proud on a day of historic importance.

The Chief Minister stated that Shubhanshu Shukla’s bravery and professional excellence have given a new direction to India’s human spaceflight programme. He added that such achievements demonstrate India’s growing strength in advanced science, defence, and space exploration, reinforcing the country’s position as a rising global power.

CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that Shukla’s journey serves as a powerful inspiration for the youth of the country, especially those aspiring to careers in science, research, defence, and space technology. He further said that Uttar Pradesh feels proud to be associated with a hero whose contribution has strengthened India’s scientific ambitions and defence capabilities.
