Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026: PM Modi’s Multi-City Interaction Engages Record 6.76 Crore Students Across India

By expanding into a multi-city format and achieving record participation, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 reinforced its role as a nationwide platform addressing student well-being, exam readiness, and holistic education at scale.

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 marked a major evolution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship student outreach programme, as it moved beyond a single-venue format to a nationwide, multi-city interaction. The ninth edition recorded its highest-ever participation, reflecting the growing scale and relevance of the initiative ahead of board and competitive examinations.

A Record-Breaking Nationwide Engagement

This year’s edition saw participation from an unprecedented 6.76 crore students, teachers, and parents across the country. Of these, over 4.5 crore registered through the MyGov platform, while another 2.26 crore took part via school-led activities. Registrations opened in early December 2025 and continued into January 2026, underscoring sustained interest in the programme since its launch in 2018.

Five Cities, One Unified Conversation

For the first time, Pariksha Pe Charcha adopted a pan-India format with live interactions from five geographically diverse locations—Delhi, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, Raipur in Chhattisgarh, Dev Mogra in Gujarat, and Guwahati in Assam. The format symbolised national unity by connecting students from the north, south, east, west, and central India simultaneously.

One of the most notable moments came from Guwahati, where students interacted with the Prime Minister aboard a cruise on the Brahmaputra River, highlighting the programme’s effort to blend regional identity with national dialogue.

Focus on Exams, Life Skills, and Wellbeing

During the interactive sessions, PM Modi addressed exam stress, time management, mental wellness, leadership, and goal-setting. He encouraged students to see examinations as a part of life rather than a source of fear, while also urging parents and teachers to create supportive learning environments. The discussion extended beyond academics to include discipline, self-belief, and pursuing long-term aspirations.

Broadcast and Wider Reach

The programme was broadcast live at 10 am on national television and digital platforms, ensuring access for students across urban and rural India. Parents and educators were also included, reinforcing the idea of collective responsibility in student development.
