Fatty Liver: In recent years, there has been a massive surge in the count of individuals diagnosed with fatty liver disease. Primarily, this debilitating health condition is associated with poor health and lifestyle choices such as sugar-laden and high-calorie diets, rising obesity rates and sedentary lifestyle.

Fatty Liver-Causes Of Liver Fat

Fatty liver is usually linked to type 2 diabetes, obesity, being overweight, genetics or high levels of fats (especially triglycerides in the blood).

Individuals who are diagnosed with health conditions such as high cholesterol, insulin resistance, obstructive sleep apnea, underactive pituitary gland, metabolic syndrome, growth hormone deficiency or polycystic ovary syndrome are often at an increased risk of developing the fatty liver disease.

Fatty Liver disease is also common in individuals who eat their dinners late, usually just before their sleep time. It is also common in individuals who consume little to no protein their diet and/or don’t undergo strength training as part of their daily routine.

Tips & Precautions

It is recommended that you should include beans, soy, fish, nuts, oatmeal, sunflower seeds, garlic, turmeric, green vegetables and coffee to your diet. Furthermore, you should avoid or limit the intake of white bread, rice and pasta. You should also avoid red meat, added salt and sugar, alcohol and fat & calorie-rich fried foods. You should also have an eye on sugar and saturated fat intake so it is easier to manage cholesterol as well as triglyceride levels.

Ideally, everyone should work out at least twice a week and fast once a week. Moreover, it is highly recommended to follow an active lifestyle and stay away from nicotine, alcohol and drugs.
