Saiyaara re-release comes just a week before Valentine’s Day 2026, giving audiences another chance to enjoy the love story on the big screen. While many fans are thrilled about the return, some social media users poked fun at Yash Raj Films (YRF), suggesting the move aims to recover losses from the underwhelming box office run of Mardaani 3.
Saiyaara Re-Release: Redditors Mock YRF For Quiet Return
The film’s re-release began on February 7 and will run until February 13 in select theatres across Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Pune. Although YRF has not made an official announcement, online ticketing platforms show limited shows available.
Fans shared their excitement online, celebrating the film’s comeback. At the same time, some used the opportunity to troll YRF. Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara tells the story of Krish (Ahaan Panday), a troubled singer-songwriter, and Vaani (Aneet Padda), a shy poet. They meet during a college cultural exchange and form a musical duo, whose creative connection blossoms into a heartfelt romance.
The film explores their contrasting backgrounds, personal struggles, and the power of love to transform lives. Loosely inspired by the 2004 Korean film A Moment to Remember, it features a chart-topping soundtrack that became a cultural phenomenon in India.
Made on a modest budget of Rs 45–50 crore, Saiyaara became a huge commercial hit. It grossed around Rs 570–579 crore worldwide (US$69 million), giving a 640% return on investment. Domestically, it earned over Rs 329 crore net, while overseas earnings added nearly $19.5 million, making it the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025.
