Vishal Bhardwaj Shares Emotional Message

Ahead of the release, Vishal Bhardwaj shared a heartfelt post on social media. His words reflected pride and gratitude for his team. He wrote, “Before the critics speak and before the box office delivers its verdict, I feel compelled to share how deeply proud I am of this film. Before the accolades or the criticism arrive, I must thank, from the deepest part of my being, all my HODs who gave far more than was ever asked of them – their vision, their integrity, their sweat, their blood, and their unconditional commitment to my vision.”

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, O’ Romeo is a romantic action thriller set in post-independence Mumbai’s underworld. The film draws inspiration from Mafia Queens of Mumbai by Hussain Zaidi.

The story follows Hussain Ustara, played by Shahid Kapoor, a bold and ruthless gangster. Opposite him, Triptii Dimri plays Afsha, a woman driven by revenge. Their journey unfolds amid crime, betrayal, and shifting loyalties.

The cast includes Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia and Disha Patani.

The Central Board of Film Certification granted the film an ‘A’ certificate due to graphic violence and mature themes. The makers implemented several edits, including trimming a throat-cutting scene. The final runtime stands at 2 hours, 58 minutes, and 41 seconds, making it the longest film in both Bhardwaj’s and Kapoor’s careers.
