Chhattisgarh Viral Video: In a shocking video from Chhattisgarh, an incident of assault and humiliation has emerged where a uniformed forest guard posted at the Devnagar beat was beaten by a group of men and forced to dance in front of his girlfriend.
The entire incident was captured and has gone viral on social media platforms, putting the focus on public humiliation and misconduct while also triggering a departmental inquiry.

Chhattisgarh Viral Video-Turn Of Events
On February 23, the incident happened at the Devnagar nursery under the limits of Surajpur Kotwali Police Station. The turn of events has left the forest department of Chhattisgarh red-faced. Budhram Paikra, the forest guard, was with a woman in a nursery when a group of young men caught them together. The men then played loud music on a phone and asked the guard to dance. They scolded him after being dissatisfied with his moves and later thrashed him with belts and sticks.
The forest guard could be seen repeatedly pleading before the men in the viral video. He could be seen addressing one of the men as “Raju Bhaiya” asking him to stop this mockery by intervening. However, the men kept the assault going in full view of the forest guard’s girlfriend, a local resident of Devnagar. The young men sent the woman home after the attack and threatened the forest guard, warning him to leave his job.
Viral Video Sparks Action
A show-cause notice has been issued by the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) DP Sahu to the forest guard. An explanation has been sought within 3 days, stating that the humiliating incident happened when the forest guard was in uniform and the department’s image has been tarnished. It was also pointed out in the show-cause notice that the forest guard failed to report the nursery incident to his superiors, which caused reputational damage.
