Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME), affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, successfully hosted its Annual Cultural Fest, Aloha 2026, on 26th and 27th February 2026. The two-day celebration transformed the campus into a vibrant arena of music, dance, creativity, and youthful expression, drawing participation from institutions across Delhi NCR.
The festival opened with a grand inaugural ceremony graced by Director General, Hon’ble Justice Bhanwar Singh, and Prof. (Dr.) Komal Vig, Director, DME, along with the Heads of the Departments of Media, Management and Law. The Chief Guest, Mehak Dhingra,model, dancer, TEDx speaker, Miss Charm India 2025, Ms. Universe India Second Runner-Up, and Miss Teen India 2022, inspired students with her encouraging words on confidence, dedication, and self-belief.
The programme began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolising knowledge and new beginnings. Senior Cultural Head Shubhnavi Shivhare introduced the vision of Aloha 2026, followed by a graceful classical dance performance by Nrityangana, the Classical Dance Society of DME. Cultural Head Susanna formally declared the fest open, setting the stage for an exciting line-up of events.

The opening day witnessed enthusiastic participation in competitions such as Solo Singing, Solo Dance, Nukkad Natak, Mr. Aloha, Ms. Aloha, and Rangoli. Students displayed remarkable talent and creativity, impressing both judges and audiences with their performances. The celebrations continued with equal energy on the second day, featuring Open Mic, Group Dance, Short Film Making, and Fashion Show competitions.
These events were judged by Simran Dhingra, Vaibhav Kumar, Kunal Chugh, and Vaishnavi Shivhare respectively. Adding to the festive spirit, a lively stand-up comedy act by Shreyansh Sonkar and Akshat Sinha kept the audience thoroughly entertained.
The valedictory ceremony marked the announcement of results for all nine competitions conducted during the fest. Winners were felicitated by Prof. (Dr.) Komal Vig, Director DME, Cultural Faculty Convener Dr. Navjot Suri Singhal, and Co-Convenors Ms. Anugya Mishra and Ms. Kritika Gautam and the heads of the departments of Management and Law. Students from reputed institutions, including Amity University, Delhi University, GGSIPU, and JSS, secured top honours, highlighting the competitive scale of the event.
The Title Sponsors, V Care Academy and TimeTech Global Study Abroad Consultancy, along with other sponsors like Lakme and many more, were acknowledged for their valuable support. A special “Societies’ Success Ramp Walk” showcased the core committee, senior advisors, and faculty heads of the DME Cultural Cell in recognition of their collective efforts.
The festival concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by an electrifying performance by Kayam Band and a high-energy DJ evening. Aloha 2026 ended on a grand note, leaving behind unforgettable memories, strengthened camaraderie, and a celebration of talent that truly reflected the vibrant spirit of DME.
