Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan is currently facing an unexpected travel crisis. As tensions rise in the Middle East after fresh strikes involving the United States, Israel and Iran, Sonal Chauhan has revealed that she is unable to leave Dubai. Flights were suddenly suspended, leaving thousands of passengers stuck at airports across the region.
The situation worsened after Iran launched retaliatory missile attacks under what has been described as “Operation Epic Fury.” Soon after, several countries closed their airspace to keep civilian aircraft safe. Dubai International Airport paused many departures and arrivals. Major airlines such as Emirates, Etihad and Air India cancelled hundreds of flights. As a result, travellers were left confused and uncertain about when they could return home.
Among those affected is Sonal Chauhan, who is now waiting for clarity on her journey back to India.
Sonal Chauhan Requests PM Modi To Help
Sonal Chauhan took to Instagram to speak directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Jannat actress shared her concern through her Instagram Stories.
She wrote, “Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji I am currently stranded in Dubai amid the ongoing crisis. Flights have been cancelled and no clear way to return to India. I’m seeking the government’s guidance and support to help me get back home safely.”
She further added, “I would be deeply grateful for any assistance from the Government and guidance for a safe return @meaindia @india_in_dubai.”

Flight Disruptions Create Chaos
The conflict has caused immediate disruption across the Gulf. Authorities shut airspace over Iran, Iraq, Jordan and the UAE as a safety step. Dubai airport suspended several operations, leading to long queues and uncertainty inside terminals.
DON'T MISS
Sonal Chauhan is not alone in this situation. Indian badminton star PV Sindhu is also stuck at Dubai airport. She was travelling to Birmingham for the All England Open tournament when flights were halted.
Governments have now issued travel advisories and asked citizens to stay alert. However, there is still no official timeline for when regular flight operations will resume.
Sonal Chauhan Work Front
While Sonal Chauhan waits for updates, her career continues to remain in focus. She rose to fame in 2008 with Jannat, which earned her a Filmfare nomination for Best Female Debut. Before acting, she became the first Indian to win the Miss World Tourism title in 2005.
Over the years, Sonal Chauhan worked in Telugu films such as Legend and Dictator. In 2023, she appeared in the pan-Indian film Adipurush. Recently, she completed filming for Mirzapur: The Film, which is expected to release later this year. She is also set to make her Punjabi film debut with Shera in May 2026.
