He said the land acquisition process for the project has officially begun, which is considered a crucial step toward the development of the expressway. Once the acquisition work is completed, construction tenders will be issued, paving the way for the start of the project.
Officials believe the new link expressway will play a key role in strengthening transportation networks around the airport and improving connectivity between different parts of Uttar Pradesh.
The project is being developed under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, whose government has been focusing on expanding expressway infrastructure across the state to boost economic growth and ease travel.
The expressway is also expected to enhance access to the upcoming airport, which is projected to become one of the major aviation hubs in northern India once operational.
With improved road connectivity, the project is likely to support industrial development, trade, tourism and logistics activities in the surrounding regions, benefiting both residents and businesses.
Authorities say the new expressway will further integrate key infrastructure projects in the state, helping create a seamless transport network connecting airports, expressways and major economic corridors.
