UP Government Transfers ₹3,350 Crore Scholarship to Nearly 28 Lakh Students; CM Yogi Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Empowerment

By ensuring financial assistance reaches students on time, the administration aims to reduce dropout rates and promote higher education among economically weaker sections.

In a major push towards educational support and social welfare, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday oversaw the transfer of ₹3,350 crore to the bank accounts of 27,99,982 students under the state’s scholarship and fee reimbursement scheme.

The beneficiaries include students from Classes 9 and 10, as well as those enrolled in post-matric courses, particularly from underprivileged and weaker sections of society. The financial assistance was disbursed through a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system during an event held in Lucknow.

CM Yogi Adityanath: Support for Families Under Welfare Scheme

Alongside the scholarship distribution, the state government also transferred ₹100 crore to 33,334 beneficiaries under the National Family Benefit Scheme, aimed at supporting families who have lost their primary earning member.

Officials stated that the initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to provide timely financial aid and ensure social security for vulnerable sections.

Focus on Transparency and Timely Assistance

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that the state government is committed to building a strong and transparent system that delivers benefits directly to citizens without delays or leakages.

He congratulated the students receiving scholarships and noted that such initiatives play a crucial role in enabling youth to pursue their education and achieve their aspirations.

The CM reiterated that empowering youth remains a top priority for the Uttar Pradesh government. By ensuring financial assistance reaches students on time, the administration aims to reduce dropout rates and promote higher education among economically weaker sections.

The large-scale disbursement reflects the government’s continued focus on inclusive development, combining education support with welfare measures to strengthen the social fabric of the state.
