Ram Bhakts, Get Ready! Indian Railways’ New 16-Night Yatra From Ayodhya To Rameshwaram, How To Book?

Indian Railways: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and Indian Railways have collaborated to announce the launch of Shri Ramayana Yatra. The move is aimed at promoting pilgrimage tourism under the Government of India’s “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” and “Dekho Apna Desh” initiatives.

The specially curated 16-night/17-day tour departed from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station on March 30, 2026.

Indian Railways-The Sacred Journey

The tour, which spans 756 kilometres, traces the iconic life as well as journey of Prabhu Rama. The key spiritual destinations of the journey would include visits to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Ram Ki Paidi (Saryu Ghat), Bharat Mandir and Hanuman Garhi.

It would also include Sitamarhi (birthplace of Maa Sita) and Janakpur, Nepal that could be accessed by road. The journey would include Kashi Vishwanath temple and corridor, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir, Tulsi Mandir and evening Ganga Aarti.

It would also include Hampi (ancient Kishkindha), Nashik (Trimbakeshwar temple, Panchvati) and Rameshwaram (Ramanathaswamy temple, Dhanushkodi).

Amazing Travel Experience-How To Book?

The Shri Ramayana Yatra would be operated using the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train. The train offers an out-of-the-box, premium experience for a maximum of 150 tourists. Some of the train’s features include dedicated security guards for each coach, CCTV cameras, shower cubicles, sensor-based washrooms, two fine-dining restaurants, modern kitchen and foot massagers. The train has fully air-conditioned coaches in AC I, AC II and AC III classes.

The train’s boarding points would be Delhi, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Lucknow, Etawah and Kanpur railway stations. All transfers and sightseeing would be in comfortable, air-conditioned buses and coaches.
