Adequate stock available in the state with 92,000 kiloliters of Petrol and 1.22 lakh kiloliters of Diesel

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has taken a strict stance regarding the supply of petrol, diesel and LPG, carrying out large-scale action against black marketing. Since March 12, 2026, a total of 23,250 raids and inspections have been conducted across the state, leading to the registration of 238 FIRs.

Among these, 27 cases have been registered against LPG distributors and 211 against other accused individuals. Additionally, 22 people have been arrested on the spot and prosecution action has been initiated against 249 individuals.

The government has clarified that the supply of Petrol and Diesel in the state is completely normal and there is no shortage of any kind. A total of 12,888 petrol pumps are operational across the state, through which thousands of kiloliters of fuel are being sold daily.

Currently, the state has an adequate stock of 92,000 kiloliters of petrol and 1.22 lakh kiloliters of diesel. In such a situation, the general public has been urged not to panic or engage in unnecessary fuel hoarding.

The government is also fully active in ensuring LPG supply. Through 4,107 gas agencies in the state, timely delivery of cylinders to consumers is being ensured and sufficient stock is available.

Along with this, in line with the directives of the central government, the expansion of the City Gas Distribution network has been accelerated to provide PNG connections to domestic consumers. So far, 15.94 lakh PNG connections have been issued in the state.

Keeping in mind industrial and commercial requirements, the government has allowed conditional supply of up to 70 percent of commercial LPG. Priority is being given to hotels, dhabas, restaurants, dairies, food processing units and labor-intensive industries such as steel, automobile and textile sectors.

For continuous monitoring of the situation, 24-hour control rooms have been established at the Food Commissioner’s office as well as in all districts. Additionally, officials have been instructed to carry out regular field inspections to ensure that the general public does not face any inconvenience.
