Indirapuram Fire: 150 Kanawani Jhuggis Gutted, Cylinders Explode Post-Vikas Nagar area Lucknow Incident! Tearful Survivors Seek Mercy

Indirapuram Fire: Massive fire outbreak has been reported in Indirapuram Ghaziabad’s Kanawani area. According to media reports, more than 150 jhuggi jhopdis were gutted after several LPG cylinders erupted in flames. The exact cause of the fire is unknown till know.

Indirapuram Fire Updates

Several fire brigade vehicles rushed immediately to the spot. The district administration has also rushed in several emergency and medical vehicles to aid the affected individuals and families.

Many teams from the police, fire department, district administration, along with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) are presently performing massive rescue and fire-fighting operations.

About 10-15 fire tenders have been battling the flames and the situation is expected to be brought under control anytime soon.

Lucknow Fire-Vikas Nagar

A day before, more than 280 shanties were gutted after fire broke out in Lucknow’s Vikas Nagar.

According to media reports, about 10-15 children were killed while more than 30 LPG cylinders busted out. More than 1000 migrant workers were left homeless due to the massive fire incident.

The incident happened in Sector 11 of the Vikas Nagar area. The blaze started around 5:30 pm and immediately spread through the densely populated area. This triggered a series of LPG cylinder explosions that were kept in jhuggi-jhopdis by residents.

The thick plumes of black smokes could be seen from 10 kilometres away, underscoring the massive scale of destruction.

After the fire broke out, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister immediately took cognizance of the grave incident. CM Yogi Adityanath instructed officials to reach the site immediately so that the situation could be closely monitored. The UP CM also issued clear and urgent directives to officials to ensure that rescue and relief operations were carried out on a war footing.
