Akshay Kumar is back on the big screen with horror comedy Bhooth Bangla. The movie also marks his reunion with director Priyadarshan. Actress Wamiqa Gabbi plays the female lead opposite him, and their pairing has already grabbed attention on social media.
After the release, Wamiqa Gabbi started trending online. Some users compared her looks and screen presence to stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. This has led to a lot of discussion about her.
Akshay Kumar On Wamiqa Gabbi Being Compared To Aishwarya-Katrina
In a conversation on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Akshay Kumar was asked about these comparisons. He was questioned whether such social media talks are true or just exaggerated opinions.
Akshay responded by talking about Wamiqa’s journey and individuality. He said, “Nahi, uski aankhen brown hain. Uski Aishwarya jaisi aankhen hain. Lekin uski apni ek identity hai. Woh apne tareeke se kaam kar rahi hai. Woh bhi kaafi struggle ke baad films mein aayi hai. Pehle Punjabi films ki, phir Hindi films mein aayi. Ab woh Hindi, Telugu aur Tamil sab mein kaam kar rahi hai. Woh alag-alag genre ki films kar rahi hai.”
He feels Wamiqa should not be defined by comparisons. Instead, she should be seen for her own work and journey across different film industries.
