Uttar Pradesh News: The Uttar Pradesh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a special scheme for empowering individuals with disabilities. The scheme could help them lead a respectful life without getting dependent on anyone. Moreover, this scheme for underprivileged could also help the disabled generate employment for others once their small business starts growing to the fullest.

Uttar Pradesh News-About The Scheme

Under the scheme, a financial assistance of Rs. 10000 would be provided to eligible individuals to start a small business. This would include a loan of Rs. 7500 and a grant of Rs. 2500. Beneficiaries can utilize this financial assistance for starting their own businesses by opening a general store, cart or tea stall.

The scheme can be availed by residents of Uttar Pradesh who are aged 18 to 160 and have a 40 percent or more disability. The entire process is online and the Rs. 10000 amount would get directly transferred to the bank accounts of the selected individuals.

Eligibility, Application Process And Benefits

The financial assistance would ONLY be provided to those individuals who don’t have any pending government debts or serious legal cases against them.

Interested candidates can visit the official website and fill out the required form. They would also need to upload certain documents, including Aadhaar card, a passport-size photo, bank account details, residence and income certificate and a disability certificate.

Once the form and other formalities have been duly completed, they need to take a printout and submit it to the department’s office at Room No. 21, Vikas Bhawan.

Officials would then analyze the application and transfer the amount directly to the eligible individual’s bank account.
