Weather Update May 8 2026: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that moderate to heavy snowfall is likely in the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Moderate rainfall is also likely in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
Several parts in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland are likely to witness moderate to extremely heavy rainfall.

Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Hastinapur and Meerut are likely to experience rainfall, hailstorms and dust storms.
Lolab Valley, Warwan Valley, Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, Bangus Valley, Chatpal, Karnah, Machil, Kishtwar, Sanasar, Basohli and Rajouri may witness moderate snowfall. Gusty winds and bone-chilling weather conditions may trouble residents and commuters. Didihat, Kausani, Peora, Munsiyari, Chaukori, Pangot, Abbott Mount, Gwaldam, Patal Bhuvaneshwar, Kalap, Osla and Kanatal may also experience similar weather conditions.

Kalinjar, Kampil, Mathura, Vrindavan, Piprahwa, Barua Sagar, Devgarh, Shukratal, Bateshwar and Mahoba may notice a change in maximum temperatures. The maximum temperatures may increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.

Sonagiri hills, Udayagiri, Asirgarh, Nagaur, Ramgarh Shekhawati, Pachewar, Siyana, Barwani, Kukshi, Tawa and Jaitpur may experience a surge in maximum temperatures by 1-4 degrees Celsius.
