Bhopal District Court denied anticipatory bail of 33-year-old Advocate Samarth Singh in the Twisha Sharma death case. The noose is tightening around the Advocate. The court had denied his bail plea on May 18, 2026, noting that Twisha Sharma died in “unnatural circumstances within six months of marriage”. A dowry death case was registered after the body of Twisha, a former Miss Pune and MBA graduate, was found hanging at her Bhopal matrimonial home.

According to her family, the in-laws had been complaining of constant domestic violence and harassment. Interestingly, the mother-in-law has claimed that Samarth Singh is a drug abuser and has produced CCTV footage as evidence.
Katara Hills police have registered an FIR against Samarth Singh and his mother for dowry harassment and abetment to suicide. Twisha’s family described it as a “horror” situation after they found her dead five months after her marriage, sending shockwaves in Noida and Bhopal.
