CBSE Turmoil Fails To End! Portal Trouble Irks Students, Board Extends Revaluation Deadline

Facing mounting complaints over login failures, payment errors and portal disruptions, CBSE has extended the deadline for Class 12 revaluation and verification applications. The move comes as thousands of students continue to face difficulties accessing post-result services.

In view of widespread complaints regarding technical issues on its post-result services portal, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for Class 12 students to apply for verification of marks and revaluation. The move comes after thousands of students flooded the system with complaints that they had problems logging onto the website, processing payments and submitting applications by the original deadline.

Students encounter login and payment glitches

In the past few days, students and parents have raised concerns over repeated portal crashes, login failures and payment gateway errors. Many said they could not complete the application process even after multiple attempts. The technical glitches created a panic among the students who wanted re-evaluation of their answer scripts, especially those who wanted admission to competitive colleges and universities.

“The board knew about the difficulties and decided to extend the application window so that no student is denied the chance to avail post result services due to technical issues.

Traffic congestion and cyber attack attempts

Since the re-evaluation process began, there has been an unprecedented rush of traffic on the CBSE portal. The portal was also under attack by several cyberattack attempts even as the board received over 70,000 applications, reports said. But officials said the system was still intact and still working.

Earlier, the board had deferred the opening of the verification and re-evaluation portal to upgrade its infrastructure and address technical issues raised by students.

Student Aid

The extension should be a relief for thousands of affected students who had been worried about missing the deadline. According to education experts, the extra time will lead to a fairer process and less stress in the crucial admission season. Meanwhile, the CBSE has asked the candidates to keep a watch on official notifications and fill out the applications well in advance of the revised deadline.
