Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has praised the completion of 12 years of welfare-oriented governance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing the period as a transformative phase that brought dignity, security, and opportunity to millions of economically weaker and marginalized families across the country.

In a statement, the Chief Minister said that welfare of the poor and underprivileged has remained a central focus of governance during the past twelve years. He noted that several flagship initiatives launched during this period have expanded access to essential services and improved the quality of life for citizens in both rural and urban areas.
Welfare Initiatives Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Adityanath highlighted schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, which expanded access to banking services, the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana aimed at providing clean cooking fuel, the Swachh Bharat Mission focused on sanitation, and the Jal Jeevan Mission designed to improve access to drinking water. He also referred to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which has supported housing for economically weaker families.
The Chief Minister stated that direct benefit transfer mechanisms have strengthened transparency and ensured that welfare benefits reach intended beneficiaries more efficiently. He further noted that initiatives such as Ayushman Bharat and various social security programmes have contributed to improving healthcare access and financial protection for millions of families.
According to Adityanath, the past twelve years represent more than the implementation of government schemes; they reflect a broader effort to extend development and public services to households that had previously remained outside the reach of many welfare programmes. He said these initiatives have helped create greater confidence among citizens while supporting the vision of a developed India.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what he described as a sustained commitment to inclusive development and welfare-driven governance. He said the progress achieved through these initiatives continues to strengthen the foundation for social and economic advancement across the country.
