As part of the ongoing Mission Clean Punjab campaign, cleanliness drives are being carried out across various parts of Bathinda to improve sanitation and maintain public hygiene. The initiative is being implemented under the guidance of Local Government Minister Harjot Singh Bains as part of the Punjab government’s broader effort to create cleaner cities and towns.

According to officials, sanitation teams have undertaken cleaning operations in different areas of the city, focusing on public spaces, roads, and other locations requiring attention. The campaign aims to enhance cleanliness standards while encouraging greater civic responsibility among residents.
Action Taken Against Littering
Authorities also conducted enforcement action against individuals found littering in public places. Challans were issued to violators in areas including the Railway Station, Amrik Road, and the Tinkoni vicinity, where waste was allegedly being discarded improperly. Officials said such measures are intended to discourage littering and promote compliance with cleanliness regulations.
The administration has appealed to citizens to cooperate with sanitation workers and contribute to maintaining a clean environment by disposing of waste responsibly. Public participation is being viewed as a key component of the success of Mission Clean Punjab.
Officials stated that cleanliness drives and monitoring activities will continue across Bathinda and other urban centres in Punjab as part of ongoing efforts to improve civic infrastructure, public health, and the overall quality of life for residents.
